URGEnt Presentation & Tour

Each year the first Saturday in November Project URGE and its affiliated organizations and ministries introduce individuals and churches to their mission work and provide a tour of their facilities, with the hope that we would be providing participants an avenue to involvement.
We typically have between 40-60 participants on the tour, with nearly all the feedback being positive. This continues to be a great rallying event for all our affiliated organizations. Some ministries continue to reap the benefits of this presentation back from its inception in 2003. We at Project URGE often look at this event with a sense that this is how it's supposed to be - churches and organizations getting together to impact the community, while at the same time, the community is acknowledged and empowered.
Folks from about 12 different churches have helped, while there are approximately 20 organizations represented each year, all pitching in to make this a success. Presenters in the past have been: Project URGE, Foodlink, Rochester Family Mission, Community Lutheran Ministry, His Branches, Embracing Options, Risego, Inc., Teen Challenge, Catholic Family Center's three Shelters, Mercy Residential, Touching and Agreeing Faith Ministry (His Hands Nursing), Grace Community Village, SMART (Safer Monroe Area Re-entry Team), Recovery House of Rochester, Grace Urban Ministries, Salvation Army, the Outreach Temple Home Mission and others.
