Christian Community Development

Project URGE is a member of the CCDA organization. We have sponsored workshops, training and sent leaders and potential leaders to their conferences. The information we have obtained, assimilated and brought to our members has been an invaluable resource to our mission. Guests have included: Dr. John Perkins, Noel Castellanos (CEO of CCDA), Dr. Jimmy Dorrell and others.

There are opportunities for interested individuals to work on various teams, which require a deeper commitment of time and expertise than some other ministries and teams. These efforts specifically address systemic causes of poverty. Presently we are planning to launch programs for homeless families (F.O.R.T.H.), low-income families (Hearts In Homes) and we are involved in working with groups like the SW Community Roundtable, WIN (Wellness In our Neighborhood) led by Grace Community Village and FACT (Faith and Communities Together).
